Shelby
is quite a change of the norm for me, being my first dog with "hair"! As
a professional groomer, I wanted to get a dog to improve my scissoring skills
with, and my search for an ethical breeder brought me to Jewels Poodles,
located in western Virginia. When the time came for me to pick up my puppy,
Mary decided to let me choose between two girls, her keeper(Shelby) and the
one she had selected for me. But one look at Shelby's gorgeous face I knew
that she was the one I wanted and so this lovely girl entered my life and
has opened me up to a whole new experience! Yes, I have become a better
groomer because of her, but she's also taking me on a fun adventure in the
show ring. Shelby earned her UKC Championship and Grand Championship
in just a few weekends. She has been in the Top 10 in breed standing
for 2022 and I'm looking to keep her there so she gets an invite to Premier
in '23. She's also on her way towards her Emerald Grand Championship
and is a multiple Best Of Breed winner as well as multiple group placements.
She will also be shown in select AKC shows while she matures, and will
hopefully obtain that title as well. She will also complete her health
testing when she turns 2 and may be bred next year.
